Brushed Aluminum and Sterling Earrings by splurge

This modern earring design is inspired by nature yet can be interpreted in many ways. The earwires are sterling silver and the 'leaves' are brushed aluminum. The design allows the earrings to move freely when they are worn and the gentle crease in each leaf reflects light softly. Comfortable to wear – the use of aluminum allows the earrings to be durable yet lightweight. These earrings are just under 1 3/4" (43mm) long from the curve of the earwire to the end of the earring.

Ruby Red Luminaries by PrudenceOctavia

The most beautiful, romantic luminaries, each so intricate, and all individual: no two are the same. The effect when lit is just magical. Each traditional paper cut is cut by hand, then mounted onto a heavy vellum sleeve, which sits over your votive or tea light. These are absolutely stunning as dinner party table decoration, or just clustered around your home. Each one has its own character and style, and they look even better grouped together. They come flat packed with double sided tape already applied, so all you need to do is peel and stick them neatly.

Football by Anastassia Elias

So, so amazing, you've probably seen this already, but I couldn't resist. Here's what Anastassia says about her work, "I cut the small paper shapes that I stick inside the toilet paper rolls. I use tweezers to manipulate the paper shapes. I select the paper of the same color as the roll. It gives the illusion that the paper figures make part of the roll. I need few hours to make one piece." Click through to Anastassia's website for loads more fantastic images.

Queen Elizabeth by emmamount

Oil painting of Liz Taylor from the film Cleopatra. A tribute to the film that is infamous for nearly bankrupting 20th C Fox. The second most expensive film produced in the United States after Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. This canvas is very unusual and looks great on the wall because it is round (24" diameter) and the sides are painted black, so the painting is all ready to hang as is.
