OK, this is not exactly a handmade product for you to buy, but I had to show it to you anyway…a beautiful post-it wall created by Miss Kels over on Flickr ("This is the post-it mural we had in our room last semester, we need to create a new one now"). Simple but very fantastic. I'm loving the colours. Who'd have thought that post-it notes could look so good? Nice work!

Dopamine Chemical Structure Necklace by Polly Lynn Silver Jewelry Designs

Dopamine is a natural stimulant that produces ecstasy, focused attention, motivation, and goal oriented behavior. It’s associated with arousal and, at very high levels, anxiety and fear. Dopamine is the driving force behind the excitement and anticipation that are a part of love. This dopamine necklace is a great way to express love to that special someone! This chemical structure pendant is fabricated in Polly's studio in Portland, Oregon and affixed to a 16 inch chain (adjustable to 17 inches). The name of each chemical is stamped into a tiny tag that hangs down the back of the necklace, and all findings are securely soldered. Each piece is then finished with a hand-rubbed, oxidized patina and arrives gift boxed on a handcrafted display card containing information about the chemical structure.

Lola Stiletto Succulent Planter by giddyspinster

This is a size six repurposed stiletto heel. This shoe has a steel rod encased in lucite for the heel. The top of the shoe has been removed, and it's been sanded, had holes drilled for drainage, and then planted with an ethereal snow white/ silvery/ lavender, faintly pink succulent in the shape of a strange white rose. The genus is called "echeveria Lola". The succulent plant will need very bright light and just a little water from time to time. In return, with it's tiny thorns at the tip of each "petal", it'll repay you with a stark reminder of how hard it is to...well, to be a woman.
**As a special thank you, Rachel @ giddyspinster is offering all followers of I Love Handmade 10% off anything in her store. Just enter coupon code 'giddyloveshandmade' to get your discount at checkout! Thank you Rachel!**

The Lady and The Wolf by strawberryluna

A hand screenprinted art print showing that Little Red Riding Hood is all grown up, but in no less danger. Here's Allison at strawberryluna, "I've been fascinated and in love with folk and fairy tales my entire life. These days, many people know them best as tales for children, however many of our most loved fairy tales have much more brutal original tellings than you might imagine something fit for little kids. I read folk and fairy tales obsessively, the darker the roots of the tale, the more I love it. It's super interesting how the same stories appear in similar versions and places for both children and (especially originally) for adults as well. This is the first print in an on-going series of my interpretations of the folk and fairy tales I grew up reading, but for grown ups working with themes of sex, death and the supernatural."

The Lady & The Wolf is a two colour, all hand screen printed art print with scarlet blood red and semi-transparent midnight black hand mixed and non-toxic water based inks. Edition of 75. Size: 16 x22 inches. Beautiful!
